Obama won in November and is about to be coronated, or that is what the popular media seems to think the inauguration will be. I wish him well. The country needs him to be a miracle worker on the economic front. We knowingly elected a socialisat leaning leader so his mainline agenda will not be a surprise. Some hidden things to look for and, in my view, guard against will be:
A broad legislative and regulatory attack on gun ownership.
Activist judicial appointments. His choice of Carol Browner as Energy Czar ought to tell us something scary there.
Use of Executive Directives to achieve controversial aims that meet opposition in congress as well as pursue pet notions. The death of Gitmo and of 'Don't ask, don't tell' will come about this way.
Nevertheless, let us hope Obama truly loves our country and its Constitutional heritage.
